Rene Fortuna

Mr. Abraham Rene Fortuna, age 50, of Lithonia, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008. Mr. Fortuna was accepted to West Point and attended Clarion University, the University of Maryland and the University of Miami. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany, Korea and various U.S. locations. He was a great fan of University of Miami football, NASCAR and the New York Mets, as well as being a very creative and talented artist. Survivors include his wife, Nikki Fortuna; mother, Nilda Fortuna; brother, Eddie Fortuna and many extended family members in Puerto Rico, Florida, Ohio, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. A memorial celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 24^th at 2:00 PM in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Rene Fortuna Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Gwinnett Technical College, 5150 Sugarloaf Pkwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30043 or your favorite charity. A. S.
