Richard Hubbard Carter, Jr.

Mr. Richard Hubbard Carter Jr., passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Odyssey House. A native of Atlanta, he attended North Georgia College. While serving in the U.S. Army, he met Iva Loye Lee at Camp Shelby MS, and they danced joyfully through 61 years of marriage. He retired as a CLU and CHFC from the Life Of Georgia after 47 years of service. He is survived by his daughters: Mary Lou Ladner of Carthage, MS and Dorothy Ann Carter of Atlanta, GA, his son: Richard Carter of Eutawville, SC, sister Mary Ann Nuckols of Atlanta, GA as well as 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday July 26, in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends this evening from 5:00-8:00 PM at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory
