Richard McIntyre "Dick" Smith, 81, of Rock Hill, S.C. died August 31, 2015. An Atlanta native, Mr. Smith moved to Rock Hill 10 years ago where he enjoyed walks at Cherry Park where his pockets were always filled with treats for dogs and wildlife. His favorite pass time included bird and wildlife viewing at home. He enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Ebenezer Grill and dinner at Pier 51 Seafood. He attended the University of Georgia system and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He spent most of his career in the furniture leasing business. He is survived by his sons David (Diann) Smith and Wayne "Skip" Smith. Daughter, Lauri (Dusty) Campbell: brothers, Eugene (Connie) and Joseph Smith: grandchildren, Monique Matthews and Frankie Dineen and 4 great grandchildren and granddogs, Molly and Spock. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Decatur Cemetery with Rev.Frank Powers officiating. A. S. Turner and Sons.
