Riley Tillman Stephens, Jr.

Riley Tillman Stephens, Jr., of Tucker, GA died Tuesday June 28, 2011. He was born in Decatur, Georgia 4/24/40, son of the late Riley Tillman Stephens, Sr. & Jane Ellen Jenkins Stephens. He graduated from Decatur High School and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology. He was president of Eckardt Electric Co., served many offices in the National Electrical Contractors Association and was a Fellow of the Academy of Electrical Contracting. He was longtime and active member of University Heights United Methodist Church, holding many lay positions. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, greatly loved by his church family, friends and business associates. He married his high school sweetheart, Becky North Stephens, in 1958 and they had almost 53 wonderful years together, living out "their song" – "Until the Twelfth of Never, I'll still be loving you" Daughters – Cindy Stephens, Jeanne (& Ashton Cary); Son – Rilo (& Wanda Stephens); Grandchildren – Stephen (& Kara Cary), Patrick Stephens, Elizabeth Stephens and John Cary; Sister – Betty Ann Summerford; Uncle – Robert (& Diane Jenkins); Great-Aunt –Mary Willis and many cousins. Visitation on Thursday June 30, 2011 from 4– 8PM at A. S Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, GA. Funeral service on Friday July 1, 2011 2:00PM at Lilburn Alliance Church, 5915 Lawrenceville Hwy Tucker, GA 30084. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens Tucker, GA.
