Mr. Robert Alfred Fowler (Bob) passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009. He was the son of Beatrice P. Fowler and the late Joseph M. Fowler, Sr. Bob was born in Forsyth, GA on March 15, 1952 and grew up on the family farm in DeKalb County. He graduated from Towers High School in Decatur, GA, attended DeKalb College and the University of Georgia. Bob loved the outdoors, coaching, football and baseball. He was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church in Conyers. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Fowler; sons, Evan Fowler and Alex Fowler; step-son, Matthew Kerlin; step-daughter, Michelle Poore and her husband James; grandchildren, Mackenzie Poore and Kaylee Poore; mother, Bea Fowler; brother, Joseph M. Fowler, Jr.; and many other extended family members. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1st at 2 PM in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Fred Unger officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Pkwy., Suite # 1, Marietta, GA 30067.
