Robert (Bob) Everett Tink, 67, of Stone Mountain, Georgia passed away from a heart attack on Wednesday, 02 February, 2011 at St Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. He was born in Montclair, NJ on 29 May 1943. Bob was a dedicated active duty Police Officer with the Chamblee Police Force in Georgia. Prior to his devoted duty as a policeman, Bob spent many years working with software, computers and as a CPA. Bob served with the 5th Special Forces Group (ABN), Viet Nam in 1966 and 67, where he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and Bronze Star. Bob was also a member of the South Carolina Defense Force and a long time member of the Special Forces Association, Chapter XXXIII (33) Tennessee, and was a current Member of SFA Chapter 59, Atlanta, GA. Bob dedicated his life in serving others. He is survived by his devoted wife Lisa, and many brother, sisters and relatives. Bob will be missed by family members, fellow Police Officers, members of the Special Forces Association and many many friends. The family will receive friends, VIEW, from 1-3:00pm and the Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the chapel of AS Turner & Son Funeral Home, on Thursday, 10 February, 2011, at A.S.
