Robert Brown

Robert Lewis Brown, 92, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away on January 28, 2016. Robert was born in Manchester, Georgia, to the late Fred A. Brown and the late Ruby Rollins Brown. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Loretta Rowe Brown, and his brother, Fred Brown. Robert is survived by his sons, Ronald Douglas Brown (Mary) and Dennis Robert Brown (Andrea), grandchildren, Douglas, Elizabeth, Brian, and Chelsea and great-grandchildren, Kaelei and Owen. Robert retired from Mead Packaging, Inc. Robert served during World War II in the Corps of Engineers in the 65th Infantry Division of the Third Army. Visitation will be held at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home (2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur) on Monday, February 1, 2016, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Following the visitation, a graveside service officiated by Rev. Hugh Roberts of Jackson Hills Baptist Church will be held at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jackson Hills Baptist Church (1585 S. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30307).
