Mr. Bob Finney, age 77, of Atlanta, GA, passed away quietly on Thursday, May 20, 2010. Bob is survived by his wife Jean. He was preceded in death by his two daughters Deborah Jean and Leslie Denise. Bob was born in Spencer, Tennessee and grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Abilene Christian University and Texas Christian University, where he received his Bachelors degree. Bob retired from Pfizer in 1995 with over 35 years of service. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and considered his fellow church members as his extended family. Immediate family members close to his heart are the Sowards Family, Jerry and Carlene, Jo Sowards Lewis, Janice and Carl Garner; nieces and nephews, Jane and Don West, Doug and Karen Garner, Carla and John Moore, Marcy Lee and Brent, Marcy Lewis and Brent Bouillion, also Natalie and Rachel West, Jordan, Jacob, Micah Moore, Reagan and Lauren Garner. Bob was a kind compassionate good hearted man who never met a stranger. He loved people of all ages and especially liked a good joke or prank. The family will receive visitors on Monday evening, May 24, 2010 from 6-8 pm. A service celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 12 Noon in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur, Rd., Decatur, GA 30033. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens following the service.
