Robert Clayton Alley, age 84, died on Monday, February 9, 2009. Born in Churchill, Tennessee, but lived the majority of his life in Tucker, GA. He enjoyed his family and friends and especially his many Cadillacs -he was even known to his friends as "The Cadillac Consultant". He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Wilbur Alley Sr. and Nola Long Alley; his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Sue Cunningham Alley, who passed away 8 days before his death and his brother Clarence Wilbur "Ham" Alley Jr. He is survived by his children, Susan Alley Hicks of Conyers, GA and Betsy Alley Fitzgerald and son-in-law David Fitzgerald of Tucker, GA; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, James Maurice Alley of Johnson City, TN and his sister, Charlotte Alley Murray of Marietta, GA. Robert was a member of Embry Hills United Methodist Church, and an active member of his Sunday school class. He was a WWII Army veteran; a retiree from Davis Water & Waste Industries; a member of American Legion Post 66 and the Sons of the American Legion Post 66; a member of the Peach State Cadillac LaSalle Club; a lifetime member of Atlanta Northlake Elks Lodge #78, a member of the Chamblee/Sardis Masonic Lodge #444 and a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 11,2009, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, located 2773 N. Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA 30033. Memorial service at A.S. Turner & Sons chapel on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. A. S. Turner & Sons
