Robert Collins Hyers

Robert Collins Hyers, 74, of Tucker, husband of the late Ruth Pressley Hyers, died January 4, 2017. Mr. Hyers graduated from North Fulton High School and Georgia Tech, served two years in the U.S. Army, and worked for 32 years for Scientific Atlanta (now Cisco). His daughter Barbie died at age 25. He is survived by son, Robert W. Hyers and his wife Liz of Winchester, MA; 4 grandchildren; his sister Alice of Asheville, NC; brother William of Elizabethton, TN; and 4 nephews and their families. Services will be held at 10 AM at Tucker First United Methodist Church, 5095 La Vista Rd, Tucker, GA 30084, 770-938-3030. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the General Fund at Tucker First United Methodist Church.
