Robert E. Biggers

Dr. Robert E. Biggers of Tucker died Monday, November 7, 2005. Dr. Biggers graduated from Emory University and received his MS and PhD in chemistry from Princeton University. From 1955 to 1966, he worked as an atomic research scientist at Oak ridge, TN. From 1966 to 1993, he was a research chemist with the Coca Cola Company. He was considered a world class expert in flavor chemistry. Dr. Biggers is survived by sons, Jonathan E. Biggers of Binghamton, NY, Frederick S. Biggers and wife Caroline of Stanton, VA, granddaughter, Claire Valentine Biggers, Stanton, VA; and grandson, Samuel Runyan Biggers, Stanton, VA. Memorial gifts may be made to Aids Atlanta. A. S.
