Robert Eugene Ahlfinger

Robert Eugene Ahlfinger, age 84, passed away on Sunday, June 10th, 2018. Bob is survived by Jean, his loving wife of 64 years; his sister, Judy Blanton of Dallas, Texas; his sons, Randy and wife Candace, Keith and wife Jody, Mark and wife Kim; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Ahlfinger. He is preceded in death by his son, Kyle Ahlfinger. He leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Moriah, Rob, Hailey, Christa and Chase; and 4 great-grandchildren, Blaise, Laila, Viola, and Gioia.

Bob was born on January 14, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Fritz and Rene Ahlfinger. He attended Adamson High School in Dallas, Texas. Bob worked for Mobil and Colonial Pipeline Company in Dallas, Lake Charles, and Atlanta for over 40 years and retired as vice-president of Human Resources in 2004.

Bob and Jean were longtime members of Saint Bede’s Episcopal Church. Bob always put family first and was loved by all who met him. He also enjoyed golfing and traveling.

Visitation will be at Saint Bede’s Episcopal Church, 2601 Henderson Mill Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30345, on Wednesday, June 13th, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, June 14th, at Saint Bede’s Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Saint Bede’s Episcopal Church memorial fund in Bob’s name.
