Robert F. Baldwin, Jr.

Robert F. Baldwin, Jr., a resident of King's Bridge Retirement Center in Atlanta died August 26, 2012. He was a native of Marshallville, Georgia and graduated from Marshallville High School, Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corps on Tinian Island in the Marianas. He moved to the Atlanta area in 1952 and later married his wife, Willie Mae Echols who preceded him in death in 2000. He retired as Chief Accountant from the DeKalb County Finance Department in 1975. Survivors include his niece, Janet Jones of Decatur and a great niece, Shirley Groth of Charleston, SC. Graveside services will be held at Decatur Cemetery on Friday, August 31.2012 at 10 am.
