Robert F. Cooper (Bill), age 95, died on July 27, 2008. He was born September 14, 1912 in Jackson, GA. He began his career as an insurance salesman with Progressive Life. He continued a successful career for 57 years and retired as Senior Vice President, Coastal States Life Insurance Co. and Sun Life Insurance Co., in Atlanta. Frank was the oldest active member of BriarlakeBaptistChurch and of the Business Men’s Bible Class. He and Neva, his loving wife of 74 years, started the Meadowbrook Nursing Home Christmas Party and continued it for 33 years. Frank managed the Business Men’s Bible Class Scholarship Fund, which provides funds for ministerial students. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Neva F. Cooper; one son, Robert S. Cooper; one sister, Ruby C. Crane; several nieces and nephews; four grandchildren: Angela R. Wolfe and husband Tom (Orange Park, FL) Jeffrey T. Cooper and wife D’Ree ( Roswell, GA), James R. Cooper (Monroe, GA), and Stacia L. Lodge and husband Michael (Roswell, GA); seven great grandchildren: Geoffrey Charles Wolfe and Cooper Douglas Wolfe, Isaac Asher Lodge, Caiden Micah Lodge, and Kitra Lael Lodge; and Caitlin Reece Cooper and Jackson Cody Cooper. Frank is preceded in death by his oldest son, Charles Franklin Cooper; his parents, four brothers and two sisters. A visitation will be held Monday, July 28 from 5-8 pm at A. S. Turners & Sons. The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 29 at 1:00 pm at BriarlakeBaptistChurch. Burial will be in Jackson, Georgia Cemetery at 3:30 pm. Rev. Larry Sullivan and Rev. Rodney Webb will officiate. Business Men’s Bible Class and the Professional Business Women’s Bible Class at BriarlakeBaptistChurch are Honorary Pallbearers. As an alternative to flowers, contributions may be made to the Business Men’s Bible Class Scholarship Fund of Briarlake Baptist Church or the charity of your choice. A.
