Robert George Bellingrath

Robert G. Bellingrath of Tucker passed away on Tuesday, September 6. He was born in Atlanta on April 6, 1944, to Albert Ferdinand Bellingrath and Lois Matthias Bellingrath. He graduated from Avondale High School and attended the University of Georgia and Georgia State. He worked for Gillette Company in Boston before returning to Atlanta in 1977 and entering the brokerage business. Prior to retirement, he worked for Bache, A.G. Edwards, and Wells Fargo. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Geary Bellingrath, his children, Sarah (Kevin) Watkins and Robert (Tiffany) Bellingrath, his grandchildren, Reid Bellingrath, Elizabeth and Jonathan Watkins, his brother Albert (Eunice) Bellingrath of Huntsville, AL, numerous nieces and nephews, and many life-long friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service on Saturday, September 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marist School, 3790 Ashford-Dunwoody Road, Atlanta 30319, to the Winship Cancer Institute, 1365 Clifton Road, Atlanta 30322, or to the charity of your choice.
