Robert George Whitfield

Robert Bob George Whitfield, Jr., 61 of Roswell, passed away Thursday July 30, 2015. Robert was born July 6, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert and Joyce Whitfield. He was employed as a Vice President, CFO and Controller for multiple Fortune Five Hundred companies. He enjoyed to work, some would say, more than almost anything else. Robert was well known for being the first one in the office, with a pot of coffee, and the last one out. He was also a loving father and son. Robert is survived by his son, John Robert Whitfield, his father, Robert George Whitfield, Sr. of Tucker and his sister, Doreen Branch of Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Whitfield in 2009 and sister, Kathy Taylor in 1989. Memorial services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons at 12 noon today, August 1st. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 am. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
