Mr. Robert Lamar, Sr. of Lawrenceville died peacefully Monday, August 10, 2009, at Hospice Atlanta at age 93. He was a veteran of World War II in the 138th Cyclone Division, fighting in the Philippines. He was a deacon and official greeter of Druid Hills Baptist Church for many years. A true Southern gentleman, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was loved by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his wife, Olivia R. Fulton; and daughter, Olivia R. Walton, he is survived by his son, Robert L. Fulton, Jr. and his partner Ms. Terry Gordon Allen of Alpharetta; four grandchildren, Matthew James Fulton of Eatonton, Leigh Meridith Fulton of Carrollton, Morris Calvin Cumbie Walton of Cary, NC, Thomas Hugh Walton of Cumming; and several nieces & nephews. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, at 11:00 am at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Dr. Harold Zwald will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
