Mr. Robert Jenkins of Tucker passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the age of 83. Mr. Jenkins was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was actively involved in his children and grandchildren’s lives. He was always ready to help family, friends, and neighbors. He had owned the Shell Station on Lawrenceville Highway at I-285 for a number of years and was still overseeing his own lawn care business. Mr. Jenkins was a charter member of Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil Brooks Jenkins, his second wife, Peggy Jones Jenkins, and his granddaughter, Jessica Krebs. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Jenkins, Beverly Jenkins, both of Snellville; step children, Wes Hunt of Greensboro, Charles Hunt of Covington, Joan Brandenburg of Snellville; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 17 at 1:00 P.M. at Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church with Rev. Kathy McFarland officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 3142 Lawrenceville Rd., Tucker, GA 30084.
