Robert M. "Bob" Berry Sr. of Decatur passed away at Emory University Hospital in Decatur on Tuesday afternoon, March 29, 2011, after a brief illness at the age of 80. Bob was surrounded by much of his family when he passed peacefully. Bob and his wife, Honor Berry, had been married 60 years in August and together had 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and then returned to his hometown of Atlanta to run Berry Realty Co. until his retirement in 1991. Berry Realty Co. had been started in 1932 by Bob's Father Frank who passed away in 1991. Bob was well known throughout the Atlanta real estate market as a reputable and honest man of great integrity. Bob is survived by his wife, Honor Berry; his daughters, Tina(Glenn) Schneider of Jacksonville, FL, Cindy Berry of Decatur, Belinda(Joe) Gordon of Scottsdale, AZ, Holly (Ralph) Cosentino of Stone Mountain and his son, Robert Berry, Jr. of Dacula, and sister, Pat (Howard) Jones of Decatur. Visitation will be at 10:00 am at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home Friday, April 1st followed by a chapel service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Clairmont Presbyterian Church in Bob's name.
