Robert Mooney Skehan

On Wednesday, January 6, 2021, Robert M. Skehan began his next journey. Born in Portland, ME on November 30, 1953 to the late James Remmes and Rosemary Skehan. Moving to Decatur, where he spent most of his life, Rob attended Druid Hills High School, graduated from Georgia State University, and was a member and usher of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Over the years he formed many lifelong friendships, which he cherished. Rob enjoyed life, family members, many friends and lived to brighten the lives of others with his quick wit and sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Joanna; daughter, Kristin (Mike); son, Joseph (Natia); brothers Paul (Shawn) and Jim (Mary Ellen); sister Mollie (John); cousin Miki; and nieces and nephews Patrick (Jenny, Kelly, Norah), Cate (Chris, Mollie), Rosie (Daniel) and Remmie (Charlie).He is preceded in death by his parents, uncle Joe, uncle George and aunt Barbara, cousin Garry and niece Kelly.
