Robert “Bob” Schiltz, Sr., passed from this earth on July 27, 2009. Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend to all. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and Florida Gators fan. Bob is survived by his children, Melissa Schiltz, Robert W. Schiltz, Jr., and Laura Alexander and six grandchildren, as well a multitude of family and friends. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Department of Georgia for Medical Research in memory of Bob Schiltz, 3035 Mt. Zion Rd., Stockbridge, GA 30281. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
