Robin Jeanne Moore, of Decatur, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2017 in the presence of her family. Born in Atlanta on April 25, 1951, she was the loving and devoted daughter of Jessie Ellis Moore and Roger Williams Moore. A lifelong resident of Decatur, Robin attended Medlock Elementary School and graduated from Druid Hills High School in 1969. Shortly thereafter, she began her career at Emory University working in the School of Medicine. During her 35 years at Emory, she worked in other areas of the University and became very proficient in computer programming. For many years, Robin played piano and enjoyed classical music, line dancing, and needle point.
In addition to her parents, Robin is survived by her brothers, William Thomas Moore (Jane) and Roger Wayne Moore (Terrie); nephews, Chadwick Moore (Regina), Adam Moore, Bradly Moore (Jess), Matthew Moore, and Jacob Moore, and many more loving family and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Rev. Dr. Royesse Stowe officiating. Interment will follow at Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive visitors starting at 1:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
