Roderick Adrian Mobley

Roderick "Roddy" Mobley, 79, of Decatur, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at his home in Dillard, Georgia. Born April 14, 1939, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Luther Ezell Mobley and Ora Estelle Watson Mobley. He graduated from Avondale High School and was a veteran of the U S Army as a member of the 82nd Airborn Division during the Vietnam War. He lived in Decatur until 2002 when he moved to Rabun County, Georgia.

Roddy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte, of Dillard, Georgia; son, Craig and his wife, Karen; two granddaughters, Claire and Cameron, all of Cobb County; and many more loving family and friends.

A graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Georgia. A celebration of Roddy's life will be held in Rabun County's community of Spring Lake where he has resided for the last 16 years in the summer of 2018. Please check back for further information.
