Roger Eugene Kline

Roger Eugene Kline, age 85, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 12th, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Holly, his children, Tim (Magda), Chris (Heather), Greg (Mary), and Chelsea (Kevin), his grandchildren, Christopher, Aleks, Nicholas, Mae, Lindsay, Nina, Hank, and Coco, his great niece, Kaylie (Tim), as well as several other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Dave, Bill, Donnie, and Victor, and his sister, Ruth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joy and Helen Kline, as well as his sister, Joanne Harrington.

Roger was raised on the family farm in Risingsun, Ohio. Although he left Risingsun, the farm was always a part of him. Roger served in the Army, earned a degree in Biology from Ohio State University, and went on to have a long, successful career with the Food and Drug Administration.

Roger was an avid runner, golfer, and doer of chores. But his greatest joy came from spending time with Holly and his many grandchildren. Roger had a very generous heart and was very giving with his time and love. He cared for many of us in the ways we needed most. Now that he has passed on, it will be our job to care for each other.

Although he will be greatly missed, our family is grateful to know that Roger is finally at peace. Services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend. A live stream will be available for those who are unable to attend in person.
