Roger M. Jones, Sr., age 91, of Stone Mountain passed away during a peaceful sleep at home. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris Joyner Jones; 2 sons and daughters in law, Roger and Caryn Jones and Tim and Viki Jones; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and brothers in law, Gloria and Charles Preston and Glenda and Bill Wilson. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He worked for the Railway Mail and US Postal Service over 30 years. He was a member of Annistown Road Baptist Church and Henry Whitehead’s Sunday school class. He built his own home and loved working in his beautiful yard. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. A graveside service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, Feb. 21 at Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Feb. 21 at A.S. Turner and Sons, 404-292-1551.
