Ron Merrill Greene, aged 47, of Atlanta returned to his heavenly home on November 11, 2018.
Ron was born in Atlanta to his loving parents, the late Loren Van Greene Jr., of Metter, Ga. and Patsy Walker Dillon of Atlanta on December 15, 1970. He graduated from Shamrock High School, Decatur, Ga. in 1989. Growing up Ron enjoyed playing all sports, skateboarding, and mixing music. Ron attended East Georgia College and Georgia Southern University. Ron worked many years for Greene Grocery Company in Metter, Ga. Later, he incorporated his passion for sports and the outdoors and worked in administration at Bass Pro Shops.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandfather, Loren Greene, Sr., his paternal grandmother, Lallette Powell Greene, of Metter, and maternal grandmother Beatrice Walker of Atlanta. He is survived by and deeply missed by his sons, Nathan Bryant Greene and Ashton Merrill Greene, both of Swainsboro, Ga. He is lovingly remembered by his mother and step-father, Robert G. Dillon of Atlanta, his sister and brother- in- law, Lori and Mark Lee of Marietta, Ga, his step-brother, Ian Dillon of Huntington Beach, CA, his step-sister, Charlotte Little, of Darien, Conn. and his 4 nieces, Chelsea Lee, Courtney Lee, Reagan Little, and Avery Little. Ron will be remembered for the love he shared with his sons, for his love of all things Georgia Tech, his pets, his music, and pork chops. Visitation will take place at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral home at 2773 North Decatur Rd., Decatur, Ga on Friday, November 16th at 1:30pm with a service to follow in their Chapel at 3:00pm. A graveside service officiated by Mr. Scott Riner will be held on Saturday, November 17th at 3:00pm at the Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Aline, GA.

Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery
The church and cemetery are located in the southwestern part of Candler County at Aline off Mt. Olive Church Road. From the Candler County Courthouse go West on Hwy. #46, approximately 6.2 miles, turn left onto GA Hwy 57. Proceed approximately 1.2 miles to Mt. Olive Church Road in Aline. Turn left onto Mt. Olive Church Road and go 0.2 miles. The Church is on the left and Cemetery on the right.
