Ronald William Roe, 73, of Decatur, Ga., passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Ronald fought a courageous and brief battle against Burkitt's Lymphoma. Ronald was born in 1942 in Atlanta, Ga. to Coleman and Mildred Roe and he married Janet Ross in 1964. Janet and Ronnie enjoyed 45 years of marriage before her death in 2009. They raised 2 children, Angela Cathy Syverson and Michael Roe. In addition to the children, survivors include daughter in law Claire Roe; 5 grandchildren, Savannah Denham, Drake Denham, Ansley Roe, Alec, Roe and Hayden Roe, sister Carolyn McDaniel and husband Donnie McDaniel, brother Jimmy Roe and many nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers. Ronald spent his entire business career in the concrete industry. He started out in his 20's dispatching and managing numerous concrete plants in the metro Atlanta area. He later made a switch to the concrete foundation and concrete pumping industry. His most recent position was dispatching crews with Foundation Piers by Big Dog. In addition to his work, Ronald was an avid outdoorsmen and loved working on cars, motorcycles, and 4 wheelers with his grandson Drake. Ronald had a passion for food and you could always find him in the kitchen making up a recipe or eating out at one of his favorite restaurants. Ronald never met a stranger and embraced new friendships and cherished old ones.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation www.lymphoma.org or Decatur Presbyterian Church at www.dpchurch.org. A funeral service will be held to celebrate the life of Ronald Roe on Saturday November 5th at 3:00 PM at Decatur Presbyterian Church with Dr. Todd Speed officiating. A graveside burial will be held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker following the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday November 4th at A.S. Turner & Sons.
