Rosalie Yancey Tabb, age 86, of Atlanta, GA passed to the Lord on April 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Kenneth Tabb, Sr.; her father, Newton Marshall Yancey; mother, Annie Lee Daggett Yancey; two brothers, Randolph and Beverly Yancey; daughter, Elaine Tabb Mullinax and son-in-law, Barry Mullinax. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Vivian Yancey; sons, James K. Tabb, Jr. (Janice) of Dade City, FL, Robert Y. Tabb (Darcel) of Covington, GA, Thomas V. Tabb (Cindy) of Conyers, GA, twelve grandchildren; Christopher Tabb, Allison Sclavakis, Jeffrey Phillips, Trey Phillips, Nathan Tabb, Kevin Tabb, Phillip Tabb, Kerry Jones, Matthew Hall, Justin Hall, Morgan Tabb and Jessica Tabb as well as 14 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Rosalie graduated from Girls High School in Atlanta in 1954. She and her husband founded the Tabb Insurance Agency which recently celebrated 60 years of service to the Atlanta Metropolitan Market. She was a member of Briarcliff United Methodist Church where she served in numerous volunteer capacities. She was a faithful choir member for over 50 years, and an active member of the United Methodist Women, where she served in many leadership positions at Briarcliff, the District, and the North Georgia Conference. She and her husband Kenneth visited many foreign countries doing missionary work with the World Council on Evangelism. Rosalie participated in food distribution for Meals on Wheels for over 25 years. She also volunteered with the Tucker Food Pantry. She and her husband were Co-Presidents of the Medlock Elementary School PTA, and she was the Civil Defense Chairperson for DeKalb County during the late 1950's. In recent years she served on the Associate Board of the Emory School of Nursing. Services will be held at Briarcliff United Methodist Church on Wednesday April 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM, followed by interment at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA. Donations in her memory may be made to Briarcliff United Methodist Church, 4105 Briarcliff Rd. N.E., Atlanta, GA 30045 or Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Ct., Social Circle, GA 30025. The family will receive friends at on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM at A. S. Turner Funeral Home and Crematory in Decatur, GA
