Rose Marie Johnson, 72, died at the home she shared with her son David Johnson in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, August 20, 2005. She was born to Ralph and Edna Mae Albert in Erie, Pennsylvania and adopted by George and Celia Converse at the age of five. A graduate of Thomas A. DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio, Rose Marie went on to a successful career in the high technology industry. She loved to travel and her work in international sales took her to more than 25 countries. An avid golfer, Rose Marie served as president of the league at Novell Inc., where she worked for 13 years before retiring. Her enthusiasm on the golf links mirrored her exuberant life spirit, which continues to inspire those who knew her. Rose Marie always strived to carry herself with dignity and grace. Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother. She will be profoundly missed. Andrew Johnson, her husband of 27 years, preceded Rose Marie in death. She leaves behind their son David as well as Douglas Zeddis, a son raised by her first husband, Robert Zeddis. Seven brothers and sisters from the Albert family also survive her: Carol Ann, Edna Mae, Edward, Richard, Robert, Ruth and Shirley. Rose Marie will also be missed by three grandchildren and her dear friend Chris Sweat. Interment will take place at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta. No public ceremonies are planned. A. S.
