Rose Virginia Rambo, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died peacefully Wednesday, April 29, 2009 surround by her family in Atlanta, GA. Born in Augusta, GA on March 14, 1929 to the late John Blanchard and Erma Lass Sullivan, she lived her adult life in Atlanta. A homemaker and gifted artist, who donated many of her paintings to charity, she was a long time member of Shallowford Presbyterian Church, where she had participated in Sunday School classes, several Women's Circles and had been a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond M. Rambo, Sr., a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Richard Ennis of LaGrange, GA, a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Risa Rambo of Cordele, GA., five grandchildren, Miller Rambo, Stephen Ennis, Benjamin Rambo, Rachel Ennis, and David Rambo, a brother, Gene Sullivan and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday evening, May 1, from 6-9pm at A. S. Turner & Sons, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA with funeral services on Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. at Shallowford Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Westview Cemetery. A. S. Turner & Sons
