Rose Whitten Griffis

Mrs. Rose Whitten Griffis of Decatur passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Clarence A. (Griff) Griffis. She is survived by her daughter, Miriam “Mickey” Brown; sons, Ronald W. Glaser, Mark Alton Griffis, Michael Alan Griffis; grandchildren, Caroline L. Simon, Lindsay Glaser Evans, Lawrence W. Simon, III; and great grandchildren, Jessica M. Garrett, McKenzie S. White and Lauren A. Simon. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 3rd, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Rev. Tom Mozley officiating.. Those desiring may send flowers or make contributions in her memory to Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia, Inc., P.O. Box 680322, Marietta, GA 30068.    A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday  at A. S. Turner & Sons
