Mr. Roy M. Frierson, 82 of Decatur, died Saturday, September 29, 2012. He was a longtime member of Mountain West Church of God and retired from Great Dane Trailer Sales. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Florine Frierson and is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Pat Ransom; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Rittgers; and his extended church family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 2nd at Mountain West Church of God with Rev. Michael Shreve officiating. Interment, Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain West Church of God. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 to 8 pm at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home.
