Rudyard Kipling Jarrard, Sr.

January 18, 1916 — August 27, 2005

Mr. Rudyard Kipling "Kip" Jarrard, Sr., age 89, of Decatur died Saturday, August 27, 2005. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Jarrard was a retired pharmacist and a Mason. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Jarrard of Decatur, Marylynn Johnson and her husband of Larry of Riverbank, CA; his son, Ruddy Jarrard and his wife Gay of Stockbridge; two brothers, George T. Jarrard of Newnan, Clisby W. Jarrard of Franklin, TN; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31st in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Father Michael Stranz will officiate. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Eastman, GA at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to the American Heart Association, or St. Francis Anglican Church in Jonesboro, GA, or to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
