Russel Kenneth Carver, a kind-hearted soul and beloved brother, son, and uncle, died August 4, 2008. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Carver Echard and her husband, Hurley Echard of Crossville, Tennessee, a nephew, Paxton Bond and his wife, Jaimee Bond of Matthews, North Carolina, two nieces, Ginger Bond and her husband Eric Krajewski of Baltimore, Maryland, and Katie Bond of Arlington, Virginia. He was the proud great uncle to Riley Bond, daughter of Pat and Jaimee Bond. He is also survived by his loving aunts and many cousins. Mr. Carver served as a medic in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was an active member and Deacon of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church in Atlanta, Georgia. For the past year, Mr. Carver was a resident of Morningside Assisted Living in Cookeville, Tennessee, where he continued to bring joy to all those around him. He was a great lover of cats and proud naturalist. His favorite fishing locations were chosen not for the catch offered, but the surrounding beauty. Mr. Carver was fifty-eight. A funeral mass will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, August 7th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church located on Briarcliff Road in Atlanta Georgia.
