Mrs. Ruth Hoffmann Garner of Decatur died Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Ruth was born August 2, 1935 in Kaiserslautern, Germany to Hans and Katharina Hoffmann. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved grandson Jason Brady, who was killed in a tragic car accident in March, 2000. Ruth retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of GA after 30 years of service. She was married to Jerry Garner for 33 years. Ruth is survived by her husband; daughters, Monica (Daniel) Salvadore, Jacksonville, FL, Diane (Russell) McCoy, Snellville, Stephanie (Jim) White, Lawrenceville; sons, Michael (Karen), New Orleans, LA, Tom (Val) Brooksville, FL; and several grandchildren; a great granddaughter and great grandson. The remains will be cremated. The family will receive friends starting at 6:00 P.M. September 2 at A. S. Turner & Sons.
