Ruth Mineard Smith

A native of Stow, Ohio, Ruth was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband of 58 years, Robert G. Smith, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey, Timothy (Nancy), and Robert, Jr. (Deide); daughters, Hillary (Boyd), and Kelley (Daniel); 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services to be held September 18, 2010 at 2:30 at Clarkston United Methodist Church with interment immediately following at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Clarkston United Methodist Church, 3919 Church Street, Clarkston, GA 30021. Rev. Ellen Hopkins, Dr. Larry Amos and Dr. Boyd Whaley will officiate.
