Ruth Preston

October 17, 1913 — July 23, 2008

Mrs. Ruth Preston, age 94, of Atlanta, presently of KingsbridgeRetirementCenter, died Wednesday, July 23. 2008. She was raised in Cincinnati, OH, but was a resident of Atlanta since 1960. Mrs. Preston was a charter member of BriarcliffBaptistChurch, where she taught Sunday school and served on several committees. She was also a member of Sagamore Hills Garden Club. Mrs. Preston was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Preston. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Bazemore of Marietta, Barbara Duvall Collier of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 25 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Bill Bigger and Dr. Glenn Waldrip officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A. M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
