Ruth Williams Fritts

Mrs. Ruth Williams Fritts, 85, of Atlanta died on Thursday February 16, 2012. A native of Chattanooga she was the second of six children born to Gladys Nave and Stephen Allen Williams, Jr. Mrs. Fritts was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Williams and sister, Peggy Williams. Mrs. Fritts is survived by her husband of 65 years, Vance Turk Fritts, Sr., sons, Turk Fritts, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Dublin, OH; Allen Fritts and his wife, Pam of Durham, CT., daughter, Ruth Gaziano and her husband, Chuck of Johns Creek, GA.; sister, Ann Booker; brother, Voris Williams; sister Bitsy Williams; grandchildren, Patricia Poulin. Allen Fritts Jr., Kelly Mayer, Brian Fritts, Wesley Fritts, Michael Gaziano, Matthew Gaziano and Laura Gaziano, also surviving are six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday February 20 at 10:00 am at North Decatur Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Lewicki officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 pm at Forest Hills Cemetery, Chattanooga, TN. In lieu of flowers those desiring may send memorial gifts in her memory to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
