Ryan James Lindsay, 34, of Atlanta, GA, a man of exceptional character and faith, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in Atlanta due to late and unexpected cancer surgery complications.
Born August 15, 1985, to parents Ronald and Jane Lindsay in Kingsport, TN, Ryan was a fun-loving and joyful child who loved to compete at basketball, soccer, and baseball and intended to win every time. He went on to graduate from Providence Academy in Johnson City, TN, and complete his B.S. degree in Financial Management at Clemson University during 2003 - 2007. As a young man, Ryan developed an interest in business and technology, picked up golf, and was a voracious fan of Clemson football. He would also develop a deep love for Kimberly Kathryn Jones, who he married on October 16, 2011 at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, in Sunset, SC.
Ryan started and maintained a successful career at Accenture immediately following his graduation from Clemson in 2007. He was a faithful member of both the Reformed University Fellowship from his college days, and All Souls Fellowship in Decatur, GA. He also supported and volunteered over the years with the four following programs: Young Professional Leaders of the United Way, Year Up, Junior Achievement USA, and TechBridge, Inc.
Predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Jim Lindsay, and maternal grandparents, Jim and Olive Beam; Ryan is survived by his wife, Kimberly, and daughter, Blake, of Atlanta, GA; parents, Ronald and Jane Lindsay, of Seneca, SC; two sisters, Elizabeth Dyer and her husband, Will, of Chattanooga, TN, and Lauren Gruendling and her husband, Caleb, of Greenville, SC; paternal grandmother, Lucille Lindsay, of Greenville, SC; and many extended family and dear friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18, at 1:00 p.m. at All Souls Fellowship, located at 647 East College Ave., Decatur, GA 30030. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., at the same location. Pallbearers will be McLain Jones, Carson Jones, Will Dyer, Caleb Gruendling, Andrew Savant, and Heath Whaley.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to one of the following organizations Ryan supported and cared about deeply: Compassion International (compassion.com), Night Light International (nightlightinternational.com), and Water Missions International (watermission.org).
Our deepest gratitude to Accenture and All Souls Fellowship for their love and support through his fight with cancer and during this difficult time. And also our thanks to A.S. Turner Funeral Home for their guidance in this process.
Ryan was deeply and unconditionally loved by His precious Heavenly Father, who held him fast through every moment of his life. Out of that love, Ryan was a loving, thoughtful, witty, compassionate, hard working, and faithful husband, son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend. Though he has departed this Earth, he is present with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven, cheering us on until we, too, finish our race (Hebrews 12:1).
