Sadie Abbott Mathis

Sadie Abbott Mathis, age 98, went home to be with Lord on Oct. 5th, 2015. She was a native of Scottdale, Ga.. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Mathis, 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her 2 children , Son, Joseph R. (Bob) West and wife Shirley of Hayesville, NC and daughter Sandra Langford of Stockbridge, GA, 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews. She had 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. The eulogy will be delivered by grandson, Kenny West and officiated by Pastor Jim Payne. Special song's by great granddaughter, Emily Mull. Funeral Service will be held Thursday October 8, 2015 at 3:00 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain.
