Sadie Reese Mendel

Mrs. Sadie Reese Mendel, 98, of Decatur, formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, August 6, 2009.  She was born July 28, 1911 in Parksville, SC to Henry Jennings Reese and Margaret Christian Reese.  Mrs. Mendel retired from the Internal Revenue Service.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lionel Hargrove, Samuel Reed Mendel and sister, Frances Walton.  She is survived by her sisters, Alma Harris, and Evelyn Peters; nieces and nephews, James and Jane Harris, Brian Peters, Bruce and Sarah Peters, Gayle and Charles Kimball, Jennifer Cook, Eric Cook, Judy and Mike Hood, Andrew and Suzanne Kimball, Amy, Adam, and Madeleine Lopez.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park, Augusta, GA with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating.  A.
