Miss Sallie Woolf died on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. She was born in Washington, D.C. in 1926 and moved with her family to Decatur in 1928 and attended Decatur public schools. Sallie was a dedicated employee of the Decatur Public Library and then of the DeKalb Library System for 47 years. May 27, 1993 was designated Sallie Woolf Day in recognition of her long service and dedication to serving patrons of the library. She was a long time member of Decatur First United Methodist Church where she taught first grade for more than 30 years. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, William and Lillian Woolf; her niece, Martha W. Jacobs of Seattle, WA; her nephew, William E. Woolf, Jr. of Stone Mountain; and grand nephew, Aaron Jacobs of Seattle. The interment at Westview Cemetery will be private. A Celebration service at Decatur First United Methodist Church will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sallie can be made to either The Salvation Army or Decatur First United Methodist Church. A. S. Turner & Sons
