Sandra Nell Mason

Sandra Nell "SanSan" Mason, born to Charlotte Tompkins Mason Greeson and James Mason on 8/22/1943 in Rome, Ga. Eventually moving to Atlanta in 1952.

Sandra is preceded by her mother Charlotte T. Mason Greeson, Grandmother Laura "Granny" Tompkins, her brother James Larry Mason, uncles Charles Tompkins, William Tompkins, Aunts Nell T. Sumner, and Dorothy Tompkins.

Sandra is survived by her uncle Robert E. Tompkins, niece Dorothy Jane "DJ" Stephens,, sister-in-law Sandra K. Mason, nephew John Mason, great nephew Logan Stephens, great niece Sonya Mason, and many loving cousins.

Sandra attended Mooreland elementary and Bass High School, graduating in Class of 1961. For many years, Sandra actively participated in the Bass H. S. Reunion Committee.

Sandra worked for the Atlanta Public School System as a Data Liaison where she retired in 1996 after 35 years of dedication. She was able to enjoy retirement to its fullest and enjoy every moment!

She enjoyed traveling whenever possible with visits to Miami, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Reno, Memphis and London, England, Amsterdam and her bucket list continued.

Sandra also really loved reminiscing with friends and family, and caring for her kitties and dogs in her life over the years. Her favorite music included legendary artists; Elvis, Tom Jones, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. And of course we have to mention her love of shopping for anything with glitter, sparkle, gold and diamonds!

Sansan's helpful, thoughtful, loving, caring, polite and dignified personality touched so many family, friends and acquaintance. She was always ready to go somewhere with her perfectly curled hair (coiffure as she would call it!), makeup and outfit perfected with accessories to top it off.

Life will never be the same without her. Much love and rest in peace, SanSan.
