Sara Allene Wade

Sara Allene Wade, 93, celebrated a joyous homecoming on September 14, 2010. Allene was born May 26, 1917 in Glenn, Georgia to James Howell and Bessie Wilson. She-was the second born of six children and was the last surviving family member. Allene was a graduate of Bessie Tift College and taught first grade in Georgia for 20 years. She then worked for Boeing Company in Seattle, WA until her retirement. Allene and her husband, James D. Wade, enjoyed 45 wonderful years in Seattle until his death in 2001. She then returned to Georgia to spend her final years closer to her family. Allene is survived by niece, Susan Gilbert and her husband Al of Fayetteville, GA; nephew. Wesley Howell Williams of Conyers, GA; nephew, Todd Wilson of Perry, GA, nephew Craig Bolton and his wife Jeanette of Mclean, VA; sister-in-law, Mildred Wilson of Macon; a great-niece and three great-nephews, and all her "Wade relatives". Allene loved her Lord, her family and her church. A memorial service celebrating the life of Sara Allene Wade will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Reverend Dave Kivett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 2448 LaVista Road, Tucker, GA. 30084.
