Sara Almand Reynolds

Grace Reynolds, age 90, of Decatur passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2008 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Frank H. Crumpler officiating, with graveside services to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker.  Grace will be remembered as a saleslady extraordinaire, who retired from Davison's (Macy's) after 42 years of outstanding service.  To say Grace stayed active is an understatement!  She was an independent woman who loved working in the yard, taking care of her precious dogs, visiting with friends and family, shopping, and selling.  Grace will also be remembered for her generosity to those in need and her wonderful gift of comedy.  Many have said she missed her calling as a comedian.  She instinctively knew how to fill a room with laughter.  Grace was born September 15, 1917 and lived in Roswell during her childhood.  The majority of her adult life she lived in Decatur.  Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Joe L. and Victoria Almand; brothers, Joe M. Almand and Richard Almand; sisters, Martha Wood and Emily Holt; and daughter, Cathy E. Reynolds.  She is survived by a sister, Mary "Nora" Bowen, and Almand and Nancy Bullard and family, Becky and Joe Rice and family, Mike and Ann Holt and family, Tony and Teri Holt, Judy and Larry Jackson and family, Susan Almand, Joe and Gayle Almand, Jr. and family, Mary Ann and Steve Trowell and family, Jack and Patti Bowen and family, Ken Bowen and family, and Vicki and John Rawlins and family.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home, 760 Pollard Blvd., SW, Atlanta, GA  30315. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 11 from 6 to 8 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons.
