Sara Elyse Llewellyn

It is with great sadness that the family of Sara Elyse Llewellyn announces her passing on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in Athens, GA. Sara was born in 1998, in Atlanta, GA. Since childhood, Sara was an adventurous spirit who loved animals and enjoying the company of friends. Her interests were varied, artistic, and musical, including playing violin in high school. After graduating from Walton HS she moved to Athens, GA. She chose to pursue welding at Athens Technical College and was proud to be one of the few women in the program. Sara's courageous and loving heart was a gift to us all. Sara will forever be remembered by her Father and Step-Mother Daniel and Kelley Llewellyn, Brother Matthew Llewellyn, Sister Erika Rickson and Grandmother Margene Whitton, Step- Grandparents Lou and Donna Melikian, Aunt Anna Whitton, Uncle Alan Whitton, and Great-Aunt and Uncle Teresa Hawkins and Michael Burkhardt. She is preceded in death by her mother Teresa Llewellyn and grandparents William and Jane Llewellyn and Gene Whitton. The family will be receiving visitors at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur, GA on Sunday, October 22nd, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and on Monday, October 23rd from 12:00-2:00 p.m. with services to follow in the chapel.
