Sara Jo "Tootsie" Bonds Sims was born on February 25, 1924 to Albert Jackson and Ethel (Renno) Bonds in Birmingham, AL and was the youngest of seven siblings.
Tootsie passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on December 20, 2024. There to join her, husband John "Jack" Sims, Jr (the love of her life for more than 65 years).
Tootsie loved people and had a magnetic personality. She was loved by many. She and Jack traveled often and lived a blessed life in Oak Grove Acres. Tootsie was a realtor with Northside Realty for many years. She and Jack were devoted members of Oak Grove United Methodist Church since moving to Atlanta
Tootsie felt like a princess again as she celebrated her 100th birthday hosted by Magnolia Senior Living in Dawsonville, GA, donning a tiara and sash with a 1950's style sock hop party with dancing, music, festive finger foods and decadent chocolate birthday cake.
Tootsie is survived by son Johnny (Dana) Sims, granddaughters Erica (Adam) Woodford, Kelly (Hunter) Hamm, grandchildren Henry Hamm and Josie Hamm and several nieces and nephews.
