Sarah Margaret Brown

Sarah Cleland Lawrence Brown, age 97 of Tucker, GA, a member of Tucker First Baptist Church, passed away March 12, 2011 at Odyssey Hospice in Decatur. Mrs. Brown was born in Maysville, GA on August 22, 1913, grew up in Dunwoody, graduating from Chamblee High School in 1930. Before moving to Tucker, she lived in Decatur where she was an active member of Decatur First Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown retired from Sears after 25 years of service in the auditing department. She was a beautiful lady who filled her life with love and family. In addition to her parents and two siblings, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by husbands Harry R. Lawrence and Leland E. Brown. Survivors include her stepdaughter, Janet Brown Shiver (David) of Tucker, grandchildren, Laurie Shiver Brown (Peter) of Tucker and Alan Shiver of Suwanee, three great-grandchildren, sister, Cassie Cleland Warren Wolfey of Stockbridge and several beloved nieces and nephews. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Decatur Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tucker First Baptist Church, 5073 LaVista Rd., Tucker, GA 30084 in memory of Sarah Brown. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur
