Sarah Vaughn

Sarah Mae Vaughn, 90, of Atlanta, GA passed away Saturday morning April 11, 2015 after a long and happy life. Mrs. Vaughn was the daughter of Felix and Eppie Coston and the loving wife of James K. Vaughn. Sarah was born in Enterprise, AL, but grew up in Leesburg, FL. She attended Mars Hill and Carson-Newman Universities where she received her Bachelors degree. After teaching school for a brief period of time, Mrs. Vaughn devoted her time to caring for her family. After moving to Atlanta, she attended Briarcliff Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for close to 50 years. Her friendly and loving nature made her loved by all with whom she came in contact. Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Tammy Vaughn of Blairsville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Lee Coursey of Decatur, GA; grandchildren, Josh Vaughn, Casey Vaughn, Jessie Vaughn and Corey Davis; and great-grandson Henry Vaughn. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Briarcliff Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Bigger and Rev. Paul Millarc officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the time of service at the church.
