Scott Crandall Holt, 51, of Decatur, beloved husband and father, passed away on April 7, 2016. Born September 1, 1964, in Macon, GA, he was the son of Robert Crandall and Linda Dodson Holt. Scott graduated from Lakeside High School in 1982, Georgia Tech University in 1987 with a Bachelor's Degree and then in 1993 with a Master's of Science in Computer Science, following his childhood dream. Upon the completion if his Master's degree in computer science he began a career with Bellsouth/AT&T.
In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his wife of 18 years, Karen Worthington Holt; daughter, Emily Grace Holt; brother, Samuel Coe Holt; and many more loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Grace "Gigi" Holt, and Jack's first wife, Emmy Lou Crandall Holt; maternal grandfather, Ralph Coe and Madeline Roberts Dodson, and Ralph's first wife, Elizabeth Horne Dodson.
A celebration of Scott's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Decatur, with a visitation to follow in the fellowship hall.
